Matt Elvington began his career in 2003 with Wachovia Bank, a predecessor of Wells Fargo Bank, as a Loan Originator and later became a Private Mortgage Banker (’09) working directly with Wealth Management clients. During his 20 years in the mortgage business, he developed a passion for helping clients achieve the financial goal of home ownership. Matt worked very closely with The Murchison Group, helping their clients with their mortgage needs. When the opportunity arose for a career change, Matt was recruited by and persuaded to join this team of financial advisors who share the same core values that Matt does in his professional and personal life.
Matt’s 20 years in the mortgage industry bring to the team someone with the ability to review both sides of a balance sheet to help clients achieve life goals.
He is a graduate of East Carolina University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an Accounting Concentration in 2003. He currently holds Series 7 and 66 registrations.
Matt and his wife Stacy have two daughters, Rynley and Hadley Kate. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, whether boating, traveling or watching his girls live out their passion on the tennis court and golf course.
